IBC practising racism

(October, 25, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam’s (LTTE) front International Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) operating from the United Kingdom is practising racism without fear of the laws in the UK. They are practicing racism by reflecting their anger by calling the Sri Lankan government with the communal name ‘Singalam’ (Sinhalese). Their broadcast extensively use this term in a demeaning manner to prop up hatred against the Sinhala people among those listen to their broadcasts daily.

Without singling out the government of Sri Lanka (GOSL), its un-accommodative policy towards Tamil minorities and the right wing Sinhala extremists the programme broadcasters generalise and call the entire Sinhala people ‘Singalam’ in a racial sense.

Their broadcasters will say ‘Singalam is doing this and Singalam is doing that’ instead of specifically apportioning the blame on the military or the government.

IBC is an illegal and unregulated broadcasting station operating clandestinely from South London. Following its recent eviction from its south London premises due to non payment of mortgage repayments to the tune of £60,000 it is still able to carry on with its operations without fear of the laws clandestinely.
