No Tsunami Threat to Sri Lanka: Govt

The panic situation is over after officially announced no threat to Sri Lanka on latest Earthquake in Sumathra island on today evening by the Government of Sri Lanka. Now situation in Sri Lanka turn to normalization also have been starts public transport services including trains and buses.

“We were conformed no threat to latest an earthquake to Sri Lanka, beacuse people in here shouldn’t get to any fears, ” the official of the National Disaster Management Centre told the Lanka Guardian.

However, at least killing seven people, injuring 100 and triggering a small tsunami that hit one city on the island of Sumatra, authorities said. Tsunami warnings were issued for much of the Indian Ocean region.

The 8.2-magnitude quake off Sumatra badly damaged buildings along the coast and could be felt in at least four countries, with tall buildings swaying as far as 1,200 miles away.
