Police found a powerful bomb fixed with a belt, normally used by suicide bombers to target VIPs found near the international airport in Katunayake , police said.The bomb was found near a roadside in Kadirana,Negambo a police official who did not want to be identified told the Lanka Guardain.
It contains at least 01 Kg RDX,high explosive he said.But normally the Tigers are using C4, a highly effective plastic explosives.Police said they also found a camouflage uniformed of a airman with the bomb.
In a separate incident, Criminal Investigation Division found 150, walkie Talkies with 04 radars and some antennas, police sources said. They were found from a house in a Ja -ela. The couple who reside the house were also taken in to custody
