Nursing school with Indian assistance

A nursing school is to be set up with the assistance of India and we have taken action for this, said the Minister Local Government and Provincial Council, Baseer Segu Davood.

He said this in his speech while participating as the chief guest in a function held to lay the foundation stone for a two story building to be constructed with Rs. 10.5 million for the Eravur Zahir Moulana Vidyalayam. The function was chaired by the school principal S.M. Sulaimanlebbe yesterday morning. The Batticaloa District should not always be an affected area and it should be developed in education, economy, agriculture and industry. As a Minister, I am doing my best for these works.

A technical college is also to be constructed in the Eravur Thamaraikerny for the betterment of Tamil and Muslim youths of this area, he said further. The Divisional Secretary, Pradesiya Sabaa Chairman and several others addressed this meeting.
