Head of SLMM and LTTE leaders held special meeting in Kilinochchi

Reports reveal that special discussions between the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) head, retired Maj. Gen. Lars Solberg and a LTTE group of representatives took place in the Wanni today around 2.30 pm (29th August).

The LTTE peace secretariat chief, Pulidevan, military spokesman Rasiah Ilanthirayan and S.P. Tamilchelvan also attended the meeting source in Wanni future reveals.

Issues such as government triggered SL forces launching missions and Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s statement on Sunday were discussed, reports say.

The SLMM had also emphasized on honouring and the continuation of the ceasefire agreement by both parties.

‘We want to see the both parties taking sit for the peace talk achieved the solution”, Gen. Lars told the LTTE representatives during the meeting.
